Call Senate and Tell Them No To Social Emotional Learning-Common Core Part 2 Not Acceptable-Research Linda Darling Hammond's Failed Schools To Start...

After all these years under Common Core--here comes Common Core Part 2.  The House has just approved an investment in social-emotional learning, a spending bill last month that included $260 million in funding for what it calls “whole child” initiatives within the Department of Education.

Read this from the NEA (who funds Planned Parenthood) on their leader and this wonderful initiative.
http://neatoday.org/2019/05/28/bridging-the-gap-serving-the-whole-child-involves-every-educator/

They must have missed out on some little facts about it's developer--Linda Darling Hammond:
Read here:
"Today we see that Linda Darling-Hammond’s approach to education has failed.  The school she founded in California is to be closed because of low test scores and lack of significant improvement.

A similar charter school (Aspire) in the same district focused on academics; Darling-Hammond’s school focused on project-based learning, subjective assessments, portfolios, and  “students’ emotional and social lives.”
Aspire has succeeded; Linda Darling-Hammond’s school has failed.  An education expert at Stanford told me recently:  Let me repeat for everyone that the Charter School that Stanford runs and Linda Darling-Hammond heads up is one of the 188 schools on the California failing schools list.  It has been in existence for 6 years and has used all the most highly recommended Ed School teaching techniques like authentic assessments, group learning, and discovery."

By now, most of us are so tired of hearing the same people with supposedly new plans when sadly they are just a regurgitation of old failures.  Please call your Senators and let them know to not fund this Whole Child Initiative.  Do allow experts like Dr. Sandra Stotsky, Dr. James Milgram, Donna Garner, Dr. Karen Effrem,  Peg Luksik, and Linda Murphy to be in a panel that they can hear.  The harm that has been done in the name of Education Initiatives are unbearable.  It is time to listen to parent's experts above and have a real discussion on Education.

These are worth reading as simply put there has been an agenda that is anti-American in our Ed System and it must go for it has destroyed many already.

In closing, please remember as big as the problems seems--God is bigger and He is able to help.  It starts with praying.  The Founding Fathers knew of these truths and that was why they started education but time has passed and it has been forgot.  They knew where their help came from and they knew their children needed it too as the tool of the enemy has not changed.  Their belief in God made them succeed and developed a great nation.  Learn and read it for yourself:

PS--Here's some words from Denis Ian a former teacher-who has now gone to heaven.  He wrote this when the call was put out for a Parents Turn with the POTUS...maybe someday someone will share this with President Trump:

Dear Mr. President

I don’t know how to speak with a president … but I can speak well enough with any father.

So, let us speak as fathers … and of the dreams we dream for our own children. And we should also speak of patience … and promises.

My own children are grown and flown … like most of yours. But new stars join the troupe … like your Barron … and my young Aidan. So, we are never very far from childhood.

I’ve seen you lose yourself in that boy’s face. I have. It’s the sort of thing I pay attention to because … because I do the same. All the time. That “circle of life” stuff gets extra-real in people our age. And finally … we learn to pay attention to what really matters. The sweet, small stuff … like a child’s face.

You are a busy man. I am not so busy at all.

You are the president of a great country … and I am the chief of a very small tribe. You were once a famous business man … and I was once a not-so-famous history teacher.

So … you can see … we have much in common.

My responsibilities are very simple. I am to be on time for baseball games … and uber folks from place to place. You? You are to worry about a country … and perhaps the rest of the world.

What busies you, hardly busies me.

You once spoke of pledges … and I spoke of the patience of parents. Do you remember?

Parents remember. It’s why you won their vote.

Schools have been nightmared. Children guinea-pigged. Poisoned by imposter-reformers and their educational idiocy. Schools are not as we remember.

So many seem intent on re-inventing childhood … swapping out sandboxes for hypnotizing iPads and abusive testing circumstances.

They’re calling out school leaders for odd-ball curriculum changes. Even demanding legislation for … are you ready, Mr. President? … for recess. For play time. For six year olds.

It’s that sick, sir.

They’re frustrated by politicians-turned-Socrates who dismiss their concerns … and permit creepy-freaky social engineers to bend the lives of their children.

Master-teachers … once the most trusted regents of our children … have been exiled to the edges of every reform discussion. Their common sense expertise suddenly dismissed as Dark Age know-how.

These hoaxers demand that hyper-dramatized assessments … tests …. be homaged as the new tools of educational excellence. Real-deal teachers are threatened into silent compliance. And so … hundreds of thousands of enraged parents are refusing abusive testing in state after state … Georgia … Texas … New York … Michigan … Florida.

The outrage is exploding. Haven’t you heard it, sir?

As you said in your rallies, this is what happens when schools are hijacked by interfering, disconnected theoreticians who pretend to understand children … and dare to claim parental regency over them.

It’s what happens when self-anointed wizards decide that only government can wrench us from fuzzy educational doom … and make us as advantaged as … as Sweden. And Singapore. Or Switzerland. Yeah. The Big Three of the world!

Do you remember the thunderous cheers when you promised to end Common Core? And to return our schools to local control?

Reassure us, Mr. President … our patience hangs on.

You have priorities … we understand. But we have been more than patient.

We wonder … when is it our turn? Our moment for your attention?

Too many are intent on canceling childhood … morphing classrooms into joyless spaces where youngsters seem more the experiment than the learner.

The anger is thicker than ever. It’s a miracle schools haven’t been pitchforked by parent-mobs.

But still they wait. For you. And your promises.

They’ve been frustrated by stonewalling politicians who dismiss their concerns … and permit creepy-freaky, social engineers to bend the lives of their children. So they looked to you.

Now fraud gurus insist that “grit and rigor” are the imperative antidotes to wasteful childhoods which used to grow in fantasy and imagination.

It’s all so out of whack …

And caught in this cyclone of nonsense are small people. Young children … like your Barron … and my Aidan. But not as well protected.

So … millions of innocents are anguished … and their parents agonized.

That’s what drove them to you … to place you in a position to help. They witnessed your oath to end Common Core … and they signed that contract in the ballot booth.

Never was the “Art of the Deal” so serious for so many.

They asked for their schools back … and for childhood to be restored.
And they’ve been waiting.

And waiting some more.

They asked

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up...Deuteronomy 6:4-7

Who is really behind Common Core?

Qatar is, per capita, the richest country on earth. This can be attributed to the fact that it controls the third-largest natural gas reserves in the world, the North Field in the Persian Gulf. Qatar has a mere 278,000 citizens, with a total population of about 2 million; the remaining people in Qatar are a mix of well-paid expatriates from countries such as the United States and Great Britain, and a substantial slave labor population.

A reported sponsor of international terror from Nigeria to Gaza to Syria and Iraq, the Qatari ruling family, the al-Thanis, exploit their ties to narcotic and human trafficking and jihad.

Doha, Qatar’s capital, is home to two large American military installations, as well as ExxonMobil, Boeing and Lockheed Martin operations. Doha also hosts a number of campuses for prestigious American universities, such as Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon and Cornell. All of these have a vested interest in keeping the six-year-old educational standards known as Common Core State Standards, which probably explains why virtually every effort to repeal the standards has failed.

Doha was also a spiritual home for the Muslim Brotherhood. It is especially disturbing, therefore, that President Obama’s U.S. Education Department would partner with the government of Qatar to create educational material for America’s schools. When efforts to repeal Common Core in Pennsylvania appeared to make headway, ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson sent letters to then-Gov. Tom Corbett and the State House implying a threat to withdraw from the state. It is safe to assume Gov. Larry Hogan (R) might be similarly pressured by Fortune 500 companies with ties to the state.

Vartan Gregorian, president of Carnegie Corp. of New York, praises Common Core as “a real and meaningful transformation of our education system” that will “protect the promise of social mobility for young people that lies at the heart of the American dream.”

If words like “transformation” sound familiar, it’s not a coincidence. A nearly $50 million grant, implemented by Gregorian for a Chicago education reform group Obama was involved in with Weather Underground bomber Bill Ayers, was given so Ayers could promote what I believe are destructive, anti-American views. Gregorian now sits on the White House Fellowships Committee. Former Obama campaign advisor Linda Darling-Hammond, Ayers’ likely first choice for education secretary, helped develop the Smarter Balanced Assessment.

The al-Thani family, Vartan Gregorian and CEOs of major corporations with interests in Doha — these are some of the puppeteers behind the “state-led” Common Core.

I have been fighting against CC since it was brought to my attention in 2008. It was obviously not about education, but a dangerous change in our schools, which was an agenda driven program that would reflect the "fundamental change of the USA", proclaimed by the 44th president.
